Virtual therapy anywhere in NJ; in-person sessions in Haddon Township, NJ.

"Research continues to show that the most important factor in mental health treatment is the relationship between therapist and client. You will always be seen, valued, and cared for without judgment or expectation. Come just as you are. I will too."

Hey, I'm Sarah, owner and Clinical Director of Here and Now Counseling.

Therapy may be my second career but it’s where I found my calling. Since launching my private practice in 2014 I’ve never looked back. Every day, my clients teach me something new, filling my life with more connection and joy than I ever thought possible.

Myself in a few words: adventurous, brave, driven, and creative. I think people would describe me as kind, and smart. I love listening to people’s stories. I haven’t always been patient but am learning to embrace it as a new virtue in my life.

From the moment we begin, I want you to feel at ease—whether you’re cozying up with a hot drink in my office or settling in from the comfort of home.

Here, you're in control of how our sessions flow. I’m here to push you when you need it and hang back when you don’t. We’ll laugh, cry, and get mad at your ex together. Silence isn’t awkward between us; it’s a space for reflection.

I won’t pretend to have all the answers, and I count on you to fill in the blanks so I can get it right. I see the real you, with all the rough edges, and that’s exactly who I’m here to help.

You don’t have to be perfect or have everything figured out to be here. Your “messy” is loveable, too.

  • “After only a handful of group supervision sessions with Sarah, I have become more confident in myself as a therapist. I am more present, relaxed, and open in therapy sessions, which has increased the depth and breadth of care I am able to give my patients. Sarah is approachable, knowledgeable and endlessly supportive of your personal goals and growth process. Sarah cultivates a group that feels comfortable, connected and invested in one anothers' growth. It is a safe space to challenge yourself and Sarah will guide you through that process with intention and care.”

  • "I cannot say enough kind words about Sarah. The passion and energy she brings to supervision, coupled with the knowledge and awareness she holds makes for a truly eye-opening and career-changing experience. Sarah helped me realize my strengths as a counselor (and as a human being) while also creating a safe and supportive space to explore my areas for growth and improvement. She is never afraid to be her authentic and honest self which fosters a beautiful environment of genuineness and growth. I highly recommend seeking supervision with Sarah!"

  • "I recently attended Sarah's Gestalt Group Supervision as a newer therapist. I learned a great deal from her experience and really appreciated her style. She created a comfortable sense of safety with me in a room of others I did not know. My greatest awareness however was about myself in the room with my clients. Sarah guided me to open my eyes when I'm feeling something because it is impacting the therapeutic relationship. When I recognize what's happening with me, I can expand myself with the client."
